- August 8: Friday in the Forest, 5pm – 8pm, Oak Ridge Lodge, Mt. Airy Forest, Join us for a free evening of jazz with the Eugene Goss Quartet . Delicious food with a cajun flair along with beer and wine will be available.
- August 15: Mt. Airy Community Garden Volunteer Day, 9am – 11am, Mt. Airy Commons. Help the community garden committee with a day of harvesting vegetables, pruning of fruit trees, and installing a 3-bin composting system. Please wear closed-toed shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty!
- August 16, September 20, October 18, November 15, December 6 (Christmas Decorating Day): 3rd Saturday Cleanup, 9am – 11am, Meet at Mt. Airy Commons Parking Lot. Typical efforts include trash pickup and garden weeding in the Mt. Airy business district.
- August 23: Civic Garden Center Hub Garden Class, 10am – 12pm, Mt. Airy Commons Community Garden. This plant pressing class will be conducted by CGC’s Luis Aguilar-Dwyer to learn the fundamentals of plant preservation, and get some hands-on experience in the garden. - September 13: Mt. Airy Forest Trail Fest, 11am – 4pm, Oak Ridge Lodge, Mt. Airy Forest. This fourth annual event is a family friendly celebration of Cincinnati’s natural beauty. Live music, food trucks, beer, kid zone, craft area, and organized hikes will all be available. There will also be environmental educational seminars exploring topics about how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly.
- September 18: Civic Garden Center Hub Garden Class, 6pm – 8pm, Mt. Airy Commons Community Garden. Join CGC Urban Agriculture Coordinator Kymisha Montgomery for a garden-to-plate event in the Mt. Airy Community Garden. We will harvest from the garden and discuss different vegetables and herbs, including their health benefits. A cooking demonstration will be provided. - October 25: Mt. Airy Fall Festival, 12pm – 3pm, Oak Ridge Lodge, Mt. Airy Forest. Join us for the second annual Mt. Airy Fall Festival held this year in conjunction with Cincinnati Parks. More details TBA.
